Cookies and local storage
Last updated May 2026
The short version
This site does not use cookies for advertising, behavioural tracking, or personalisation. It uses your browser's local storage - which is technically not a cookie - to remember in-progress assessments and saved past results so you can resume. None of that data leaves your device unless you submit a form.
What is stored
Local storage (in your browser)
- aii-progress - your in-progress assessment, so you can refresh without losing place.
- aii-saved - any completed assessments you choose to save (up to 20).
Clear these any time via your browser's site-data settings, or delete saved assessments individually from /compare.
Session cookies from form submissions
When you submit a form (assessment completion, /talk contact form), Netlify - the host - may set a short-lived session cookie to detect spam and prevent abuse. These cookies do not track you across sites.
Future analytics
If lightweight analytics are added later, the chosen vendor (Plausible or Fathom) does not use cookies and does not fingerprint visitors. This page will be updated if and when that happens.
